Vietnam ~ Saigon

Suppose to blog about my Vietnam trip right after i came back but seriously la, damn lazy loh plus the trip also not really fun.
So, after about 3 months i finally force myself to blog about it...

25 April, Phuong (the host of the trip) invited 3 monkeys Ron, Yit and me over to his place in Vietnam~Saigon aka Ho Chi Minh City. 7 days 6 nights trip, seriously i regretted staying there so damn bloody long la...
Day 1 - Arrived at Phuong's place ard 11am, first thing i notice at his house was the super big Guan Ying Ma statue facing us when we step in thru the gate, seriously i cant think of anything "unholy" able to go thru that gate sia. There are 4 Wonders in his house.

Wonder No.1 Of course is the Guan Ying Ma la.
Wonder No.2 The service in his house is world class la. We put our luggage down so that we can inspect the statue with ease, next thing we know the luggage had beem moved up to our room by his maids liao loh. Got 1 time while having dinner in his house, i gave a soft cough as i want to clear my throat, next thing u know 1 of his maid hurriedly went to get me a cup of ice-water. Seriously man, i really feel like a king la juz abit more i can hear the "万岁万岁万万岁" loh.
Wonder No.3 He got this Luo Han Fish, nv in my life i see one with his head so damn swollen la.


Wonder No.4 He got nine 1 Million USD note. (He claim its real, it does look real tho)


Day 2 - We took a 3 hours ride to Mui Ne Beach which is at the southern part of Vietnam. The water over there is not those crystal clear one loh, quite disappointed but at least the waves are decently strong.

We spent about 3 hours over there sun-tanning and playing ard with the waves.

Dinner - Vietnam Beef Noodle aka Pho (pronounce as ferrr) Its damn nice la, 9/10 *thumbs up*

Day 3 - Before going to the popular hotspring, we stop by at a cafe where we had Vietnamese Chicken Cutlet Rice as breakfast.

According to Phuong, if you are a student there this meal only cost $1.50SGD, if not its $2.50SGD, also very cheap right? Plus very nice loh, 8/10

After breakfast, we continue our ride to the hotspring which is fucking 3 and a half hours la...
Reach there also never do much, only soak our legs into the hotspring then cook eggs using the heat from the hotspring.

We spent 3 and a half hours to get there but we only spent 2 hours there and the best part, we got caught in a 5 hours traffic jam while we are on the way back. The traffic over there is screw up la, if u want to experience those car thrills in Bruce Willis's Die Hard series, come Vietnam confirm can let u experience until gao gao arh... Sometimes u can find cars driving in the opposite direction of u but yet same lane as you. Knn, fucking scary la zZzZz

Day 4 - Phuong need to accompany his girlfriend so we 3 stay at his place watch HBO. zZzZzZz
(Damn waste of time)

Day 5 - Phuong need to accompany his girlfriend AGAIN, but this time at least he took the effort to arrange some things for us to do. He got his uncle to bring us to the massage parlor. This is one of the best part in the whole Vietnam Trip. Juz like other massage parlor, we get to enjoy the sauna first, followed by a short Jagguzi session. Finally, we were each led to a room where we wait for the massager. When she came in i get a shock of my life la, she look so cute plus shes wearing a low cut shirt combo with a mini skirt... I can't help but question myself whether i juz called for a massage service or a sex service =.= I remember one of her massage moves require her to sit on my back-thigh while i'm lying face down, but because shes wearing mini skirt the surface area to cover her butt is much smaller so when she sit, it is actually her underwear that came in contact with my back-thigh. And that, Ladies and Gentlemen is the best moment of my whole Vietnam Trip. (And yes, flag raising ceremony took place)

Day 6 - Cu Chi Tunnel, the most historical place in Vietnam. Because Phuong's dad used to be in the army, he manage to get us a private tour inside the Cu Chi Tunnel.

I missed out quite a number of mini-events that happen in the trip but if i were to write it all out its gonna be 3-4 pages man... Overall the trip would have been more fun if our host Phuong bring us to more places and maybe some night activities. But still, i really appreciate him taking the effort to bring us ard not mentioning him paying for all our food and accommodation. Also many thanks to his mum and dad not forgetting his 3 maids and driver.

CNY 08 - Probably the Best Moment of the Year...

Before i get started, this is why i love CNY...

5% - A time where all my relatives & cousins come together
10% - A good excuse for me to buy those expensive clothings
15% - I will have a long break from work n studies
70% - An additional income, "HONG BAO" !!!! But damnit, the amount i get each year is dropping faster than the US currency -______-ll

(No la, actually i'm just kidding. Important thing is we enjoy those moment as a family.)

1st day of CNY, relatives and cousins came over to my place since my place is the HQ of the entire family as i stay with my grandma. Which means, all i have to do is dress up nicely and wait for the Hong Bao to come. Yes, i can hear all the jealous protest already.... Hahaha
And like all the previous CNY, the first day will definitely have an "All Cousins Outing", this year we decided to watch movie since last year we paid a bomb juz to sing a few songs at a KTV not mentioning those glasses that i broke due to my "Wonderful" singing T.T
After much discussion, we decided to watched "Ah Long Pte Ltd" which wasn't very good. It was lower than my expectation, since its a film by Jack Neo... maybe he starting to lose his touch.

2nd day of CNY, some not very welcoming guest came over to our place to "bai nian". (Emily sis, i'm sure u know who am i referring to...) Well, they all say the same thing... "Wahhhh... xiao san so big liao arh? Cannot recognize him liao loh... Become so handsome liao "(as if they really meant it...) -_________-
Spent the rest of the day watching shows on the net and working out while the rest went to play mahjong... Although it seems like a boring CNY, but i feel that its the little chat that we converse in, that really counts.

Moment of the Year 2007

Supposed to write this 3 weeks ago but been busy with quite a number of stuff (dota, watch anime, watch J-drama etc) yea really very "busy" -_____-ll so no choice have to drag till now...

14th December 2007, Pei, PX, Kailu, WZ, Hong Ping, Ah Long and me went to Mushroom Pot to celebrate Ah Pei's 21st Birthday. Food there wasn't that fantastic, cant remember how much we paid for it but the fact that i can still feel the burning sensation from my wallet even now shows that its pretty expensive T.T We went to a pub at Orchard area which sadly to say i forgot which one but we walked out instantly as the atmosphere was juz not right. ( I have to use my HP's light to see the menu la ZzZzZz ) After much consideration, we decided to go Boat Quay.

We went to Eski Bar first, over there we played this stupid board game which i kanna "Truth or Dare" twice loh... seriously man, i wonder which idiot created that board game... but at the same time that guy is a genius. Because of that board game, we were able to force Mr X to do something explicit to Miss Y and also Miss Y to do something juz as explicit to Mr X. ( Names are concealed due to possible outrage from.... ) Fellow "simeians", i have the utmost faith in u guys to know which 2 person i am referring to. ^^

We switched to another Pub which as usual i can't remember the name. The Lao Ban damn entertaining la... He will play dice and cai quan with us and sometimes a little jokes here and there to make us feel right at home. My boss, Gary joined us after ard 1plus AM and thats when hell break lose... This boss of mine never see him raise my pay, but keep raising the beer level in my cup z___Z Well, i think we stop all these unhealthy activities at ard 3plus AM and guess what, again my ingenius boss came up wif a suggestion that we go to his place to continue drinking... Well some drunkard fools really went to his place to carry on loh. Only WZ, Hong Ping and i are strong enough to resist the Devil's temptation. God knows how many more they drank when they were over at Gary's place.... May "Guan Ying Mah" have mercy on their liver.

Fun Moment - Siloso

Well, not exactly the most fun moment of my life but definitely worth remembering. Every 2nd n 4th Saturday of the month will be the day my Secondary School buddies and I enjoy the fantastic rays of sunlight at Siloso Beach and at the same time get a nice and cool Tan-look. Recently some of my NS buddies even joined in to our "Siloso Session". Well, most of the time we juz go there n chill, play some football, volleyball (although we suck at it), frisbee and most importantly checking out the ladies there (i definitely won't deny that) =) Our recent meet-up at Siloso was definitely the most eventful one... For the first time, we actually get to play some ball games with some ladies at Siloso, all thanks to Tao You ( I m saluting u now even at this very moment while typing all this) who recently got his balls enlarged after the......... We had a great time playing with the ladies until we were interrupted by a group of guys who wanted to join in to our games. We enjoyed even more after Ewin n accompany joined in, we were able to engage in much more challenging games like Captain's Ball as we got more players now. Definitely hope that such things happen more often in our future visit to Siloso =)

Great Moment - ORD

ORD Function was definitely one of those great moment. Thats the day we officially say goodbye to all those sucky food in the canteen which was catered by SFI (Singapore Food Industry), no more field camps, which also mean no more sleeping with Commando Mosquito and last but not least, welcome FREEDOM back to my life!!!!! The function was held in some country club which i can't remember exactly where, all i remember was, FREE FLOW of BEER!!!! That night was the night where almost all my platoon mate was drunk, including myself of course Haha.
We were so drunk until at the end of the function, we couldn't locate the toilet and we just pee right outside the country club. Imagine witnessing 8 guys standing side by side n pee right in front of the Country Club's sign where pedestrian had perfect vision of whats' kept beneath those Jeans that we're trying to hide all these years.... O.O Now thats what i call a Glamorous Sight *shame* *shame*

Worst Moment of My Life Part.2

2nd year of my NS time was the actual worst moment of my life so far. I miss fired a real 5.56mm round and it almost hit one of my platoon mate. Imagine if that round were to pierce thru his body, seriously i dun know what i gonna say to his parents... But luckily, that didn't happen. And for that incident, i had to serve 14 days SOL (Suspension Of Leave) which means i have to stay inside the camp for the whole 14 days not allowing to book out even on weekends. This was just the beginning... About a month later, a few days before my trip to India for a 2 weeks training, my buddy and i was caught slacking while doing Guard Duty. And for that, i had to serve 21 days SOL -___- As if 35 days of SOL were not enough, 2 months later i miss fired AGAIN at a FIBUA (Fighting In Build Up Area) training. And again, i served another 14 torturous days of SOL........ No words can justify how much stress i was experiencing at that point of time. Even till this day, I'm quite curious how on earth i managed to survived my 2nd year, maybe its the encouragement that i was showered with by my Platoon mates and commanders, especially my Platoon Sergent, 1st.SGT Raju.

Worst Moment of My Life Part.1

Well, its gotta be the 2 years in ARMY of course. 1st year was pretty smooth, with standard stuff like BMT, Training Course, lots of field camps and btw field camp is really no joke, imagine moving around the jungle from morning to night carrying more than 10kg of stuff with sucky food to answer the call of your stomach, a few mins of rest to ease the pain from your sored-feet and aching body. The best part... you have to do all these for a minimum of 3 days 2 nights WITHOUT showering or bathing, only allowed to powder yourself to stop the itch and covering the smell. And so, my 1st year passed by without any major incident...
